Northern Illinois Thunderjet Racing Orginization Back to Rules

Points are awarded for each racing class as follows.


At each event there will be three points races.
If time permits a fourth non points race may be run
Points are awarded from a 50 point scale.
Points are awarded in 2 point increments.
If more than 25 racers attended, 26th place and beyond receive 1 point.

Points will be awarded seperately for each class, with a winner for each class at the end of the season. The over all championship points will be decided by a combination of the Fray and stock points.

 

Concourse Points

Concourse points are awarded as follows:

The ten best looking eligible* cars at a race will be entered into Concourse.
Each of the ten would recieve two concourse points.

The concourse winner would recieve an additional two points
All concourse voting will be conducted at the race, by the racers present at the time of the voting.
Once a car has won a Concourse, that car is no longer eligible for the Concourse.

Concourse points do not count towards the season championship.

*To be eligible, a car must be custom painted and/or decaled. It must be raced in the race that day in the NITRO or SuperStock class. Stock paint jobs from any manufacturer are not eligible.
